What’s the difference?

Qlik Sense is not a new version of QlikView. While both are built on our Associative Engine and have similar core capabilities, there are differences in design and product strategy that reflect both modernized technology and the evolution of customer needs in the market.

Qlik Sense delivers a modern, self-service oriented experience through a cutting-edge responsive userin terface. It supports the entire analytics life-cycle, from data preparation to visualization to exploration and collaboration, with augmented intelligence capabilities to accelerate tasks and offer new insights. It supports seamless deployment across combinations of on-premise and cloud sites, as well as online and offline mobility. And open APIs make it easy for web developers with standard skills to build custom applications and embed analytics. In contrast, QlikView is a development environment for those with QlikView skills to create and deploy interactive analytics applications and dashboards.

NPrinting solution

What is Qlik NPrinting?

Qlik NPrinting is the reporting platform for QlikView and Qlik SenseQlik NPrinting lets you create reports from your QlikView documents and Qlik Sense apps, and distribute them automatically in a range of standard formats.

Qlik NPrinting has a responsive web interface both for administrative tasks and for end users. A centralized distribution system simplifies and expedites scheduled, managed report generation and distribution. Users have access to a complete set of reports, and they can subscribe to reports from a web interface on a computer or a mobile device.

With Qlik NPrinting you can share knowledge and analyze data across your organization and beyond.

This generation of the Qlik NPrinting product line offers the following new capabilities:

  • Scheduled and one-time distribution of reports to the Qlik Sense hub.
  • Web based architecture: Server-based client for configuring, scheduling, and distributing reports.
  • Online subscription hub: Online portal for users to view, download, and subscribe to available reports. The hub supports storage of report archives.
  • Roles-based security at the app level for administrators, developers, and recipients is at the object level and supports multiple roles per user.
  • Enterprise scalability and security: Multi-engine enterprise scalability, and enhanced governance and security.
  • Full Microsoft Office integration allows you to build report templates in the native Office interface.
